How to look good on Zoom

Whether it’s for meetings, quizzes or catch ups, we’re spending more and more time at home and on Zoom. And even though being at home means staying comfy, it's super important to maintain a professional appearance. Here’s a few tips on how to look your best, while secretly wearing your PJ bottoms. Shhhhhh....don’t tell the boss!

Lighting

The key to looking good on Zoom is lighting. It will make or break the shot. Avoid sitting with your back to the window. The light will travel around you, turning you into a grainy silhouette (not the best look). Instead, face towards the window for natural, soft and complementary lighting.

If you don’t have a window, put a lamp next to your laptop to light up your face. Or, if you’re working on your phone, have a walk through the house and see where the lighting works best.

Touch up your hair

There’s nothing worse than staring at your roots or grey hairs whilst in a Zoom waiting room! You might not be able to get to the salon right now, but that doesn’t mean your hair has to suffer. That feel good feeling after a fresh colour can make the world of difference. And not just to the way you look, but to your confidence as well.

Cover those pesky greys and regrowth with our easy-to-use Permanent hair colour range. Available in 21 stunning shades from black right through to blonde, there's a Tints of Nature shade for everyone. Because when your hair looks great, everything else follows suit.

Angles

Avoid unflattering angles by keeping your camera at eye level. If your webcam is looking up at you, everyone will get a look up your nose and your chin will feature prominently. Not ideal!

And there it is; you’re ready to wow your colleagues. Happy Zooming!
